Bitcoin ETF inflows 2026 moved higher again Friday, with U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds taking in $134.5 million and extending a run of positive flows to seven trading days, according to Decrypt. For investors using these funds through a brokerage account, the streak is a measure of net money reported flowing into the products, but the year-to-date picture depends on which tracker and reporting date is used.
Decrypt said the streak began Sept. 17 and totaled about $2.98 billion through Friday, based on its tracker. That is roughly four times the $746.3 million in combined outflows the publication reported for Sept. 15 and 16.
The earlier withdrawals included $450.4 million on Sept. 15, which Decrypt described as the funds' largest daily outflow since June, followed by $295.9 million the next day. The report placed those moves after the Senate failed to advance the Clarity Act through a cloture vote. The timing does not establish that the vote caused the withdrawals.
What are U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs?
Spot Bitcoin ETFs are exchange-traded funds that hold Bitcoin and allow investors to gain exposure through a regular brokerage account, rather than directly using a crypto exchange or managing a wallet and recovery phrase, according to Decrypt.
Decrypt reported that the largest single contribution to the latest run came on Sept. 21, when the funds recorded nearly $1 billion in net inflows. It said that was their strongest day since October 2025.
Why do the reported 2026 Bitcoin ETF totals differ?
The available reports agree that the category reversed a sizable year-to-date deficit, but they did not report the same total. Farside Investors data cited by Decrypt showed net inflows of $886.8 million through Thursday, after the funds had stood $5.69 billion below zero on July 13. That comparison represents a swing of about $6.6 billion, though it covers a period much longer than the seven-day streak.
Decrypt also cited a Bloomberg estimate of about $320 million in year-to-date flows earlier that week. Separately, CryptoProwl, in a Yahoo Finance-published report citing SoSoValue, put the year-to-date figure at roughly $800 million after a deficit of about $5.8 billion. The totals differed by tracker and reporting date, so the figures should not be treated as interchangeable.
For longer-term context, Farside data cited by Decrypt put net inflows for 2025 at $21.35 billion. The recent streak lifted the reported 2026 total into positive territory, but it does not establish where full-year flows will finish.
