American Bitcoin Q2 2026 earnings showed a reported quarterly mining record of 932 Bitcoin and an 8,002-BTC reserve at June 30. For investors following ABTC, the result pairs expanding Bitcoin holdings with a still-substantial quarterly loss and contractual limits affecting part of that reserve.

American Bitcoin, the company co-founded by Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. and majority-owned by Hut 8, reported $67 million of mining revenue for the second quarter, according to Stocktwits, whose report was republished by Yahoo Finance. That was up from $62.1 million in the first quarter.

The company reported a net loss of $57.2 million for the three months through June, narrower than the $81.8 million loss reported for the prior quarter, according to The Next Web. Stocktwits reported adjusted EBITDA, or earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization on an adjusted basis, of negative $45 million, compared with negative $91.3 million in Q1.

How much Bitcoin does American Bitcoin hold after Q2 2026?

The reported balance was 8,002 BTC at the end of June, up 981 BTC from roughly 7,021 BTC at the end of the first quarter. That is an increase of about 14%, according to Stocktwits and The Next Web.

Production was the main stated contributor to the increase, but the two figures are not identical: American Bitcoin reported mining 932 BTC during Q2, while its reserve rose by 981 BTC. The available reports do not establish that all reserve growth came only from mining.

There is another distinction within the headline reserve total. American Bitcoin said 3,090 BTC of its 8,002 BTC had been committed under contracts to purchase mining equipment from Bitmain, Stocktwits reported. The Next Web described those coins as pledged under the equipment agreements. Investors assessing the reported reserve should consider that committed portion separately from the total holdings figure.

What the quarter says about American Bitcoin’s strategy

The company is pursuing a mine-and-hold approach, building its Bitcoin reserve rather than treating mined coins only as inventory to sell, according to The Next Web. CEO Mike Ho said the company’s focus was on increasing Bitcoin per share through scaled mining infrastructure, Stocktwits reported.

That makes the results a combination of operating performance and balance-sheet exposure. Revenue rose and the quarterly loss narrowed, while the company added to its Bitcoin reserve. At the same time, the $57.2 million net loss and the BTC committed under Bitmain contracts show why the 8,002-BTC headline is not a complete picture of the quarter on its own.

  • Q2 Bitcoin mined: 932 BTC, a reported quarterly record.
  • Bitcoin held at June 30: 8,002 BTC.
  • Quarterly reserve increase: 981 BTC, or about 14%.
  • BTC committed under Bitmain contracts: 3,090 BTC.
  • Q2 mining revenue: $67 million.
  • Q2 net loss: $57.2 million.
