Nvidia earnings and Jackson Hole are the two main events investors will be tracking in the week beginning Aug. 24, 2026. CNBC’s weekly outlook puts AI-related company results, led by Nvidia, alongside economic releases and a scheduled Federal Reserve appearance as the key tests for stock-market sentiment.
The setup follows a rougher week for equities. CNBC reported on Aug. 22 that the S&P 500 declined about 1.43% and the Nasdaq Composite fell about 2.05%, with higher long-term bond yields and oil prices weighing on the market.
What should investors watch in Nvidia earnings and Jackson Hole?
Nvidia is the central corporate report in CNBC’s preview. According to LSEG estimates cited by CNBC, Wall Street expects adjusted earnings of $2.09 a share on $92.04 billion in revenue.
The numbers are only part of the readout. CNBC said investors will be listening for management’s assessment of AI demand, its ability to expand supply, and gross profit margins, which the outlet said have been in the mid-70% range. Memory costs, the company’s server pricing, the pace of co-packaged optics adoption in data centers, and demand for CPUs alongside Nvidia’s GPUs are also among the topics expected to come up.
Financing is another issue. CNBC expects executives to face questions on Nvidia’s reported $500 billion financing partnership with Wall Street firms for AI infrastructure. The company’s comments on proprietary and open-source large language models could also shape how investors assess the AI trade through year-end.
The week’s other reports offer views across software and cybersecurity. Salesforce is expected to report $11.32 billion in revenue and adjusted earnings of $3.27 a share, based on LSEG estimates cited by CNBC. Investors are expected to focus on revenue growth, RPO growth, guidance for the company’s fiscal 2027 third quarter, and annual recurring revenue for its Agentforce suite. Salesforce reported Agentforce ARR of $1.2 billion in the April quarter, CNBC said.
CrowdStrike is projected to report adjusted earnings of 29 cents a share on $1.44 billion in sales, according to the same LSEG data. CNBC said demand and guidance will be in focus, along with whether results meet the expectations already reflected in the shares. Marvell Technology and Workday are also scheduled to report Thursday, according to CNBC.
The Fed and inflation sequence
CNBC said economic releases, including a new inflation reading, build toward Friday, when Kevin Warsh is scheduled to give his first Jackson Hole speech as Fed chairman. The calendar and speech details are reported scheduling information in CNBC’s outlook.
For investors, the policy backdrop matters because the Federal Reserve uses monetary-policy settings to influence short-term interest rates and broader financial conditions. The Fed says interest rates influence borrowing costs and spending decisions by households and businesses.
The week will therefore bring a concentrated set of evidence for the questions CNBC says markets are weighing: Nvidia’s demand, supply and margins; Salesforce’s revenue, RPO and Agentforce ARR; CrowdStrike’s guidance; and signals from inflation data and Fed communication.
